Formula Drift 2025: The Season’s Electrifying Start

Formula Drift after both Round 1 in Long Beach and Round 2 in Atlanta, this season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent memory. With big names going head-to-head and new talents rising, the 2025 Formula Drift season is delivering from the start.

Round 1: Streets of Long Beach – April 5, 2025

The season opener took place on the legendary Long Beach street circuit. Fredric Aasbo came out swinging in his Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra, taking the top step of the podium with a clean and commanding performance. James Deane pushed hard in the RTR Mustang and landed in second, while Adam LZ rounded out the podium in third place—his first since 2022.

Round 2: Road Atlanta – May 10, 2025

Atlanta never disappoints, and this year’s event was no exception. Rain rolled in during the Final Four, and the finals between James Deane and Fredric Aasbo were so close that judges called for two One More Time (OMT) battles. Ultimately, Deane edged out Aasbo to claim the win, with fans on the edge of their seats the entire way.
